Welcome to Chalkwell Recruitment. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Chalkwell Recruitment, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as needed.

3. Job Seeker Responsibilities

• Provide truthful and accurate information in your profile, CV, and applications
• Do not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or identity
• Use the platform solely for legitimate job-seeking purposes
• Respect employer confidentiality and interview processes

4. Recruiter Responsibilities

• Post only genuine, current job vacancies at your organization
• Do not post misleading job descriptions or discriminatory requirements
• Respond to applications in a timely and professional manner
• Comply with applicable employment and anti-discrimination laws
• Handle candidate data responsibly and confidentially
• Do not use candidate information for purposes unrelated to hiring

5. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use Chalkwell Recruitment to:

• Post fake jobs, scam listings, or pyramid schemes
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any user
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically collect data from the platform
• Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Impersonate another person or organization
• Circumvent security measures or access unauthorized areas

6. Intellectual Property

All platform content, design, logos, and technology are owned by Chalkwell Recruitment. You retain ownership of content you upload (CVs, job descriptions) but grant us a license to display and process it for platform operations.

7. Account Access

Employer and job seeker accounts are provided through Chalkwell Recruitment. We may update account features over time. Misuse of the platform may result in suspension or termination as described below.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.

9. Disclaimers

Chalkwell Recruitment is provided "as is." We do not guarantee job placement for seekers or successful hires for recruiters. We are not a party to any employment agreement between users.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chalkwell Recruitment shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State.
